Over Fuse; Voor de volledigheid.

(This is based on the Dragon's Maze mechanics article that went online tonight.)

1. Fuse is optional. (You're still allowed to cast just one half if you want.)
2. Fuse only works from the hand. (If you're casting the spell from another zone, you have to pick one half to cast.)
3. A fused spell is one spell, not two. (You aren't casting one half and then the other half separately. Both halves will resolve together, and a single counterspell will counter both. Something which reads "Whenever you cast a spell" will only trigger once from casting the spell fused.)
4. A fused spell is all of the colors of both halves. (If you only cast one half, then the spell will only be the colors of that half. While it's anywhere else other than on the stack, a split card is all of the colors of both halves.)

5. You can choose the same target(s) for one half as you do for the other half, but you don't have to. (For example, you can target the same player with Toil that you target with Trouble, or you can target different players.)

6. When a fused spell resolves, the left half's effect happens first. (It's all part of the same resolution, so you can't respond in between, but you still have to do them in the correct order.)

Dan heb ik toch nog wat vragen over: Als ik Beck//Call open draai in een Epic Experiment van , hoeveel moet zijn als ik:
- Beck wil casten?
- Call wil casten?
En als ik dit dan cast en mijn tegenstander wil hem counteren met een Spell Blast, hoeveel moet hij betalen als ik:
- Beck heb gecast?
- Call heb gecast?
- Allebei heb gecast?

@Epic Experiment: Voor Beck moet de X minstens 2 zijn, en voor Call minstens 6.
@Spell Blast: X=2 for Beck. X=6 for Call. X=8 for Fusion.

Weet iemand al hoe het bijvoorbeeld gaat met wear // tear als die bovenop ligt en je hem revealt met een Counterbalance

counter je dan iets van: 1 2 of 3? Want dat vind ik nog een beetje vreemd aan deze kaarten.

Kan iemand hier duidelijkheid over verschaffen.

Behalve op de stack hebben split cards twee converted mana costs, dus kan met de combinatie Counterbalance en Wear//Tear een spell met zowel een cost van 1 als 2 gecountered worden. 3 gaat niet, want die converted mana cost heeft de split card spell alleen als hij op de stack ligt en als hij gefused is.

Zie hier voor de regelgeving (en voorbeelden, o.a. bij 708.5 en 708.6c) rondom split cards.

Let wel, dankzij Fuse zullen hier waarschijnlijk toevoegingen (en misschien ook aanpassingen) in plaatsvinden.
