704.5. The state-based actions are as follows:
<a-e weggehaald voor irrelevantie>
704.5f If a creature has toughness 0 or less, it's put into its owner's graveyard. Regeneration can't replace this event.
704.5g If a creature has toughness greater than 0, and the total damage marked on it is greater than or equal to its toughness, that creature has been dealt lethal damage and is destroyed.
Regeneration can replace this event.

701.11a If the effect of a resolving spell or ability regenerates a permanent, it creates a replacement effect that protects the permanent the next time it would be destroyed this turn. In this case,
"Regenerate [permanent]" means "The next time [permanent] would be destroyed this turn, instead remove all damage marked on it and tap it. If it's an attacking or blocking creature, remove it from combat."

Regenerate werkt niet tegen sacrifice.

Via Google;
'Sacrifice, exiling and state-based effects are the only things not effected by regeneration. State-based effects are -1/-1 counters (bijv. Serrated Arrows), exiling does not destroy but it removes (bijv. Exile), sacrificing is a cost (most of the time) so by the time you get a chance to respond to it the creature is already in the graveyard (bijv. Bloodshot Cyclops).

Regeneration only stops a creature from dying to lethal damage (from spells or combat) and destroy effects like Doom Blade or Day of Judgment.'

Creature - Cyclops Giant 4 / 4

T, Sacrifice a creature: Bloodshot Cyclops deals damage equal to the sacrificed creature's power to any target.
