Een 12/12 vanilla is eigenlijk alleen goed als je hem kunt misbruiken (Fling, Soul’s Fire) of als je hem evasion/trample kunt geven. een 12/12 is net zo makkelijk te chumpen als een 6/6, en als je tegenstander geen chumpers heeft, tja, dan is dit een 6/6 zonder abilities. Voor 6 mana wil je wel iets dat de game ter plekke beslist, en dat doet deze niet. Polukranos is 2 mana goedkoper, nagenoeg even dik, en geeft een betere ability. Ik zou deze nooit spelen in constructed, behalve misschien de shiny prerelease foil als 1-of in een casual deck voor aan de keukentafel

Ik vind hem niet super goed. Tegen aggro misschien wel, omdat hij door zijn dikte of ability vaak een 2 voor 1 is.
Een Control deck zal hem vrijwel altijd laten vechten omdat zij toch geen creatures hebben, en je er dus geen card-advantage uithaalt, maar alleen een groot beest zonder evasion ofiets.
Ik vraag me af of deze iets kan doen in GR Monsters. Beide opties ben je blij mee, een 12/12 of een defender slopen. Zeker na een Xenagos, God of Revels is dit een leuk kaartje.

Mwah. Met multiplayer best leuk. Laat je iemand zonder creatures kiezen en mol je meteen lekker een rotbeest van een andere (gezamenlijke?) opponent. Leuk om te gaan proberen in multiplayer EDH.
mwah, ik kan wel echt veel betere 6-drops verzinnen voor commander 
Ben zo ie zo geen fan van tribute, je tegenstander laten kiezen is gewoon een te groot nadeel.

If the opponent pays tribute, the creature will enter the battlefield with the specified number of +1/+1 counters on it. It won’t enter the battlefield and then have the +1/+1 counters placed on it.

The choice of whether to pay tribute is made as the creature with tribute is entering the battlefield. At that point, it’s too late to respond to the creature spell. For example, in a multiplayer game, opponents won’t know whether tribute will be paid or which opponent will be chosen to pay tribute or not when deciding whether to counter the creature spell.

If the triggered ability has a target, that target will not be known while the creature spell with tribute is on the stack.

Players can’t respond to the tribute decision before the creature enters the battlefield. That is, if the opponent doesn’t pay tribute, the triggered ability will trigger before any player has a chance to remove the creature.

For effects that check which player put counters on the entering creature, the player chosen to pay tribute puts those counters on it, not the creature’s controller.
