Hartelijk dank voor de snelle reactie. Het is me duidelijk.

Nee, dat klopt niet. Het "can't have or gain first strike" gedeelte heeft niks met layers of timestamps te maken.

"If you and an opponent each control the same Archetype, no creature controlled by any player will have the appropriate ability."

VRAAG:

gisteren speelde ik deze tegen mijn zwager.
vervolgens speelde hij er ook één.

Wat gebeurd er dan?

Neutraliseren ze elkaar?
Of geld die van mij boven die van hem omdat er staat: 'creatures your opponents control lose first strike AND CANT HAVE OR GAIN FIRST STRIKE'.

Het verschil zit 'm erin dat er ook "can't have or gain first strike" staat.

21-1-2014 18:20:00

Precies wat ik zeg dus.

Each Archetype has two abilities: one that grants a keyword ability to all of your creatures, including itself, and one that makes your opponents' creatures lose that same keyword.

That first ability is straightforward—all your creatures have flying. The second ability is worded so that it doesn't matter how or when your opponent's creatures would have or gain flying. Whether they have flying printed on them, gained flying before your Archetype of Imagination entered the battlefield, try to gain it after your Archetype of Imagination entered the battlefield, or are being granted flying continuously (say, by another Archetype of Imagination), they can't have flying for any reason while you control Archetype of Imagination.

This means that if two players each control Archetype of Imagination, none of their creatures have flying.

Officiele rulings

2/1/2014
The Archetype’s second ability applies to each creature controlled by any of your opponents, no matter when it entered the battlefield.

2/1/2014
While you control an Archetype, continuous effects generated by the resolution of spells and abilities that would give the specified ability to creatures your opponents control aren’t created. For example, if you control Archetype of Courage, a spell cast by an opponent that gives creatures they control first strike wouldn’t cause the creatures to have first strike, even if later in the turn Archetype of Courage left the battlefield. (If the spell has additional effects, such as raising the power of the creatures, those effects will apply as normal.)

2/1/2014
Conversely, continuous effects generated by static abilities (such as an Aura that granted the appropriate ability) would resume applying if the Archetype left the battlefield.

2/1/2014
If you and an opponent each control the same Archetype, no creature controlled by any player will have the appropriate ability.
