Ik zie dit wel als een prima kill con in een turbo fog deck in standaard maar ook in modern.
je begint bv met een paar lichte mana ramp kaarten, vervolgens als je 5 mana hebt is het een kwestie van deze paar beurten beschermen. Dit kan redelijk makkelijk met paar walls en tap effecten en natuurlijk Fog maar om vervolgens deze geniaal te maken: die nieuwe 4 mana bounce kaart Whelming Wave die alles bounced behalve je kraken tokens. je bounced 1 keer goed en je kraken vallen massaal aan voor lethal damage.
ik zie het als een best haalbaar deck in standaard, en helemaal in modern waar fog kaarten voldoende aanwezig zijn. Hoewel tegenwoordig is een wit/groen deck dat het fog spelletje speelt met gideon ook zeer haalbaar/realistisch.

In andere formaten niet echt, wellicht modern aangezien dat wat planeswalkervriendelijker is dan Legacy hoewel ik dat ook betwijfel.

Een rol (geen grote) in Standard kan ik me voorstellen. Verder zal deze vast leuk zijn voor EDH-spelers .

1: Ze beschermt zichzelf, sterker nog ze zet een creature 'uit' én rampt tegelijkertijd.
2: Directe CA met een toffe tempoboost als extra
3: Competitieve manacost
Enige nadeel is die skere 2 loyalty waarop ze begint, waardoor je haar lastig 'leeg kunt trekken' nadat ze op tafel komt. Je bent afhankelijk van de +1 om er echt zieke CA uit te halen, desondanks enorm speelbaar

Kiora’s first ability can target any permanent an opponent controls, not just one that can deal or be dealt damage.

Kiora’s second ability allows you to play an additional land during your main phase. Doing so follows the normal timing rules for playing lands. In particular, you won’t play a land as that ability resolves. The ability will fully resolve (and you’ll draw a card, perhaps a land you’ll play later) first.

The effect of the second ability is cumulative with other effects that let you play additional lands, such as the one from Rites of Flourishing.
