Daarmee wordt bedoeld dat voor ELKE instant en voor ELKE sorcery de casting cost een generieke mana minder kost. Dus in jouw voorbeeld in totaal 5 instants of 5 sorceries of 2 instants en 3 sorceries, etc.

Om de cost van Cryptic Serpent naar 
te krijgen, moet je dan "5 sorceries of instants" in je graveyard hebben liggen, of moet je dan "5 sorceries en 5 instants" in je graveyard hebben liggen?
